Lisa Fischel-Wolovick, JD, MSW.
Lisa Fischel-Wolovick, is the author of Traumatic Divorce and Separation: The Impact of Domestic Violence and Substance Abuse in Custody and Divorce, to be published by Oxford University Press in March 2018.
Ms. Wolovick has been a practicing attorney for over twenty-five years. Ms. Wolovick has extensive experience in litigating custody, visitation, child support, spousal support, and equitable distribution of the financial assets in divorce litigation to best protect her clients.
Ms. Wolovick teaches courses in Family Violence and Child Maltreatment, at the City University of New York at John Jay College's Graduate Program in Forensic Psychology.
In addition to her legal background, Ms. Fischel-Wolovick also received a Master's in Social Work from Hunter College, Graduate School of Social Work, where she graduated with honors.
Ms. Wolovick has published in the New York Law Journal and the Lawyer's Manual on Domestic Violence, 2nd, 4th, 5th and 6th editions on Mandatory Arrest and Primary Aggressor Laws. She recently published a book (by Oxford University Press) about custody, divorce, domestic violence, and trauma in children and adults.
